Fly-by-wire special delivery. British Airways’ first A380 lands at Heathrow at 10:30am on Thursday July 4 2013 after its delivery flight from Toulouse. Seen here over Myrtle Avenue in Hounslow just a few seconds before touchdown on runway 27L. A landmark event - the first UK carrier to operate the Airbus superjumbo which now becomes BA’s flagship aircraft, taking over from the Boeing 747-400. The A380 is the world’s largest passenger jet, carrying more than 500 passengers.
